LCB Associates commenced business in September 1979. The principal, Steven H. Banker, had previously worked for a small commercial real estate firm in Oakland. LCB stands for the initials of Steve's grandfather (Leon Chester Banker). Leon's brother, Benjamin Arthur Banker, was one of the founders of Coldwell Banker. LCB Associates has been a sole proprietorship of Steve Banker, and in June 2002, incorporated under the name of LCB Commercial Real Estate, a California corporation, dba LCB Associates. In addition to Steve Banker, there are three broker associates and five full-time employees. Our philosophy is to keep the company small and work in a limited geographic area. This insures quality control, superior market knowledge, and also allows us to provide the best service to our clients. LCB Associates is one of Oakland's long-established businesses. We are a full service commercial real estate firm offering sales, leasing, property management, consulting, and development services.
